The Montana State Bobcats have earned the No. 6 overall seed in the 2023 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoffs. The Bobcats, who finished the regular season with an 11-1 record, received a first-round bye and will host either Drake or North Dakota State in the second round.

Montana State earned its high seed after a dominant performance in the Big Sky Conference. The Bobcats won their final five games of the regular season, including a 55-21 victory over rival Montana in the Brawl of the Wild.

The FCS Playoffs will begin on Saturday, November 19th. The Bobcats will host their second-round game on Saturday, November 26th.

The Bobcats are one of two Big Sky Conference teams to earn a berth in the FCS Playoffs. The Montana Grizzlies, who finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, earned the No. 11 seed and will host Colgate in the first round.

The FCS Playoffs will culminate with the FCS National Championship Game on Saturday, January 6th, 2024.
